My colleagues and friends from the Electrical and Electronic Engineering course (Daniel Martins, João Silva and João Pereira) made a giant array of LEDs for the academic week.
To make the matrix more interesting, they asked me for a board that could capture the ambient sound. So I designed a PCB with a microphone, an automatic gain amplifier and a spectral sound analyzer capable of analyzing 7 frequency bands.
